Chairman of Governors |
Mr Welch joined the Board of Governors in September 2008 and became Chairman in 2010.
He is a Corporate Treasurer, Accountant and Chartered Secretary. He is a Governor of Peter Symonds' College, having been Chairman between 1996 and 2000.
He has been associated with Prince's Mead for many years, primarily as a parent when his two daughters attended the school, whilst his wife, Sally, now supplies the new school uniform.
Mr Putt joined the Board of Governors in January 2007.
Having spent a number of years as Head of Lower School, he now holds the post of Registrar at King Edward VI School in Southampton.
He is married to Jackie, who is also his PA, and they have three sons, all of whom are involved in education and youth work.

Mr Pertwee joined the Board of Governors in September 2008.
Born in 1955, Richard was educated at Sherborne School and Worcester College, Oxford. He practised for many years as a Partner in Taylor Wessing, a large solicitors' practice based in the City of London, specialising in company mergers and acquisitions. In 2006, Richard became a consultant to the firm. He sits as a Magistrate on the Portsmouth Bench and is concerned in the voluntary sector with drugs-related issues. He was formerly a Governor of the Old Vicarage School, Richmond - a private all-girls' preparatory school.

Mrs Currie joined the Board of Governors in September 2008.
She is a post-graduate qualified teacher who has taught in England and Germany. She was a supply teacher at Prince's Mead School in 1991 when the family moved to Winchester.
She has two sons who attended The Pilgrims' School and Winchester College.
She is currently a private tutor in Chelsea, where her husband is the Lieutenant Governor (Chief Executive) of The Royal Hospital.

Mrs Lewis joined the Board of Governors in September 2010.
She retired from Portsmouth High School as School Administrator in 2006. She has experience of working in the independent sector covering the needs of pupils, staff and parents from the Early Years Foundation Stage, through to Sixth Form.
Mrs Lewis lives in Fareham with her husband, Dr Charles Lewis. They have three grown up sons.

Mrs Foster joined the Board of Governors in September 2010.
She is a Senior Executive specialising in the coaching and development of people within blue chip organisations. In particular, she has extensive experience working in Leadership Development, Organisational Intervention and Cultural Change.
Mrs Foster has two daughters, both of whom were educated at Prince’s Mead, and she is a former Chair of the Prince's Mead Association.

Mr Hendriksen joined the Board in January 2011.
He has been a Head for 11 years, most recently in The British School in The Netherlands. He has worked in both the independent and state sectors of education, is a member of IAPS, a School Inspector and was an assessor/tutor with the Institute of Education.
He now works as an Education Management Consultant in the UK and overseas.
Mr Hendriksen lives on the Isle of Wight, is married to Elizabeth and they have two grown up sons.

Peter joined the Board in September 2011. He is married to Jane who is a part-time teacher at the school. They have four children all now in their 20's. Peter read Natural Sciences and then Theology before being ordained in 1980. He has served in three dioceses and was an archdeacon for 11 years before becoming the Bishop of Basingstoke in 2010.
He has had wide experience as a School Governor in different schools over the years, and has worked with children and young people throughout his ministry.

Mc McMillan joined the Board in October 2011. Andrew is a retired banker with a wide ranging career working in the UK, Europe and the Americas.
City connections include the Association of Corporate Treasurers, the Worshipful Company of Fletchers and he is linked with a number of schools in the Mercers' cluster through the Guild of Mercers' Scholars.
A widower, whose wife worked in the education sector, he has two sons currently at University
