House Trees

7th November 18

The school gathered in their house groups to plant trees kindly donated by retired members of staff, Mrs Jack, Miss Kirk and Mrs Lamb.  The Beech, Chestnut and Oak saplings will be a focal point for the houses named after them and a reminder of three much loved teachers.

Building Upwards!

The half term holiday was a very exciting time for our building project with the steel work being installed.  We were all delighted to come back and see the frame for the extension in place.  To see the latest time lapse video please go to our Building Project page.

Reception Wedding Ceremony

As part of their ‘Festivals and Celebrations’ topic Reception reenacted a wedding ceremony.  The weather was perfect, all the guests dressed for the occasion which was complete with a beautiful wedding cake.

Former pupils return to help

We were delighted to have four of our former pupils back at the school yesterday, with Zofia painting poppies, Evie assisting with gym squad, Isabelle helping with cookery club and Robert supporting our cake sale. We love that the children stay part of our community even after they have left!

Inland Sailing Regatta

The weather was near perfect as Prince’s Mead competed in the inaugural Independent Schools Inland Sailing Regatta at Burghfield Sailing Club near Reading.  There were two fleets, a Zest fleet and a Feva fleet and U11 and U13 sailed together in a total of 15 boats.  The format was 4 races with the best 3 results…

Ground Breaking Ceremony

28th September 18

Whilst the new minibus and staff car parking areas have been completed Headmaster, Mr Thacker, attended the official Ground Breaking Ceremony today for the start of the new extension. Mr Paul Chitty, Acheson Site Manager, greeted Mr Thacker with a hi-vis jacket and hard hat before inviting him to take the controls of the digger!

Year 2 visit Beaulieu Motor Museum

As part of their History topic ‘Transport’ Year 2 had a great day at Beaulieu Motor Museum. They travelled back in time and explored some of the first vehicles made, discovered cars from famous movies, tried on some classic driving attire and hopped aboard the open top bus!
