Prince's Mead parents and pupils running to raise money for Naomi House charity

Prince’s Mead Donates £1133 to Naomi House

26th November 24

We are a proud supporter of local community causes and are pleased to announce that our school community has raised an impressive £1,133 for Naomi House & Jacksplace, a local hospice charity for children and young adults. The funds were raised through their Annual Colour Run organised by the school’s PMA which saw pupils, staff, and parents come together for a vibrant day of fun.

The money raised will help to fund vital sessions of play therapy for children at Naomi House, allowing them to enjoy the charity’s sensory room, garden, and hydrotherapy pool. These therapies are crucial for enhancing the quality of life for children with life-limiting conditions, providing moments of joy, comfort, and relaxation.

Mr King, Headteacher at Prince’s Mead, said:

“We are incredibly proud of our pupils and wider school community for their enthusiasm and generosity in supporting such an important cause. The Colour Run was not only a fun event but also a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families who benefit from the incredible care Naomi House provides.”

Tash Haji, Senior Fundraiser at Naomi House, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnered with Princes Mead School for their annual colour run! Everyone was so enthusiastic, and our staff loved attending especially as we have our own paint stand! Thank you so much to everyone who supported, and we look forward to next year!”
