We are delighted to share the exciting news that Prince’s Mead has once again been recognised in the prestigious Tatler Schools Guide 2026. This annual guide highlights the most outstanding schools across the country, and we are thrilled to see Prince’s Mead celebrated for the warmth, creativity and joy that make our community so special.
What makes this recognition particularly rewarding is that the editorial is shaped directly by our parents. Each year, Tatler distributes a questionnaire to a number of families across all year groups, and their candid feedback is sent straight to the editor. The resulting feature is therefore a true reflection of the experiences, praise and insights shared by our own community.
In this year’s guide, pupils describe their school with infectious enthusiasm, praising “caring and fun” Headmaster Adam King, the much-loved fish and chip Fridays, and “how easy it is to make friends.” Parents, meanwhile, highlight the “inspired staff” and the “freshness and creativity that runs through all the activities and subjects.”
The Tatler editors also noted some of the special touches that make Prince’s Mead unique: our new red-and-blue uniform with no ties, Forest School now extended to all year groups, and the magical outdoor amphitheatre, which plays host to memorable community events. From cosy stargazing evenings complete with hot dogs and mugs of cocoa, to the joy and laughter of our summer fete and camp-out, the article captures the very essence of Prince’s Mead life. Even our youngest children make lasting memories at the much-anticipated Pre-Prep water party where it is not unusual for water-pistol battles between pupils and teachers to break out!
Being featured in the Tatler Schools Guide is a wonderful endorsement of the vibrant, nurturing and creative education that Prince’s Mead provides. It is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the warmth of our families, and above all, the enthusiasm and happiness of our children.
We are proud that the spirit of Prince’s Mead has been recognised on a national stage and look forward to another year of inspiring learning, joyful experiences and cherished memories.
