We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderfully generous Prince’s Mead community for supporting this year’s Poppy Appeal. In the lead-up to Remembrance Day, pupils, families and staff came together to purchase poppy merchandise, helping us raise £373.96. This fantastic contribution formed part of an impressive Winchester district total of £4,706.24, reflecting the collective commitment of our wider community.
The funds raised play an important role in supporting the Royal British Legion (RBL) and the vital work they do for the Armed Forces community, past and present. From emotional support and financial guidance to recovery services and remembrance initiatives, the RBL is there whenever help is needed.
Although Remembrance Day has passed, the opportunity to support the RBL continues throughout the year. Their online Poppy Shop offers a wonderful selection of gifts, including Christmas cards, tree decorations and items suitable for all seasons. Every purchase helps the charity continue its invaluable work.
