Headmaster’s Notes: Where energy is contagious 

The pace of life in these final stages of term is certainly increasing and this week has been one that must have exhausted even the most energetic of Prince’s Mead pupils or staff with all that has been going on: Geography field trips to the Isle of Wight, Science excursions to Hillier Gardens, sporting field events, World Book Day celebrations and so much more.

I am delighted to report that Prince’s Mead staff were victorious at the crease in the annual match against parents that took place at Easton Cricket Club last weekend. It was played in a great spirit, and this carried on outside the pavilion with parents, staff and children enjoying a wonderful afternoon together. I understand parents have already begun training for next year!

There will be no rest as we enter the final week of term, a time of great celebration but also sadness as we say farewell to those pupils, families and staff who have been with us for many years.

I do hope that you have a lovely weekend and I look forward to sharing our celebrations of the many highlights of this year in our final week. In the meantime, good luck to our Year 6 children with their cardboard campout this evening and, in so doing, playing their part in supporting young people affected by homelessness.
