Financial Assistance / Bursary

“Prince’s Mead creates a warm and happy environment in which children are encouraged to develop as individuals while learning how to respect one another as part of a community.”

The Bursary Scheme aims to ensure Prince’s Mead is accessible to Year 3 children and above wanting the unique education we offer. As a policy, pupils entering the school are assessed prior to a place being offered and a rigorous procedure in a range of subjects will be followed for those applying for bursaries in Year 3 and above.

All bursaries will be means tested and the value of the award will be related to the income and financial resources of the pupil’s family which will be reviewed annually. Most bursaries will be awarded to pupils from families with net resources of less than £45,000. Capital assets will be taken into account in the means testing. The bursaries will be awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster, subject to sufficient funds being available.

Applications must be submitted by 1st February for a bursary requested for the following academic year. The full bursary policy is available from the Bursar, Mrs Poppy Hughes at poppy.hughes@princesmeadschool.org.uk
