What a wonderful final week of term this has proved to be, beginning with Reception and Year One’s light hearted and hugely entertaining Nativity play, ‘The Inn-spectors’, followed by many other celebrations, making this special period memorable for all. And, of course, we enjoyed the Christmas Concert on Wednesday evening. What a wonderful way to finish off our musical celebrations this term and an opportunity to reflect on what we are truly celebrating this Christmas with those traditional carols.
I hope that you would agree with me that it has been a very positive term for Prince’s Mead. Our new families have settled in very happily and occasions such as the Bonfire Night have been wonderful events for the school community to gather together. It has been a pleasure to witness pupils thriving academically, in the Pre Prep and the Prep. Field trips have enriched pupils’ learning whilst also being tremendous fun. Our boys’ and girls’ sports teams, from the youngest right up to our seniors, have had the most exciting of seasons and have enjoyed considerable success. These and other such opportunities have enabled each and every one of our pupils to flourish and fulfil the extraordinary potential they have.
May I take this opportunity to thank our parents for making the spirit of Prince’s Mead so vibrant. Your support for the school, on so many fronts, has been most generous. And finally, to all the staff at Prince’s Mead: thank you. Your concern, care and support of our pupils is evident every single day in actions large and small. Your desire to help them, challenge and inspire them is endless.
I know that all the pupils are looking forward to a proper rest over the holidays, in between examination preparation for our eldest pupils. However, do be reassured that they have promised me that they will do all that they can to be as helpful as possible around the house! Thank you once again for all your support over my first term and may I wish you all a very happy Christmas and every blessing for the New Year.
