Year 5 visit the New Forest

11th October 18

It was a stunning day with unbelievably  good weather when Year 5 visited the New Forest.  They had an enjoyable time in the forest studying the human impact on the environment and had great fun recording the evidence on cameras and dictaphones.  The Verderer’s Court proved to be a real highlight with many of the children being given the chance to role play a variety of characters including William the Conqueror and King Harold.  They managed to see a number of the commoner’s animals and Mrs Wright was particularly excited to see the pigs roaming free around the forest for the first time ever in 17 years!
