Artist of the Month

Congratulations to our Artist of the Month, William Shepherd in Year 3.

The children have looked at the work of the illustrator Catherine Rayner particularly her book called “Posy”.

William tried very hard to draw different cats in the style of Catherine Rayner. A lot of time was spend rubbing out and re-working cats in different poses to understand body shapes and facial expressions. This painting began with a charcoal drawing, then finished with pastels and watercolours.
