Christmas Gift Appeal

24th November 23

In the spirit of giving and compassion, the pupils of Prince’s Mead are coming together to make a difference in their community this Christmas. The school has officially kicked off a Christmas Gift Appeal, partnering with local charity Home-Start to support families facing difficult times.

This charitable endeavour encourages pupils to donate gifts that will be distributed to families in need, ensuring that every member of the family can experience the magic of Christmas. The pupils have wholeheartedly embraced the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of their community, embodying the true neighbourly spirit of the Christmas.

Headmaster Adam King expressed his pride for the pupils taking part “Christmas is a time for coming together and showing kindness to those in need. Our pupils have embraced this opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with families who may be facing challenges. It’s heart-warming to see the spirit of generosity alive in our school community,”.

The Christmas Gift Appeal is not only a chance for pupils to give back, but also an opportunity for them to learn the importance of empathy, kindness, and community involvement. Through this experience, they are gaining a deeper understanding of the real-world impact small acts of kindness can have on the lives of others.

Gift name tags can be collected by pupils from the school reception and we will continue accepting donations until Wednesday 6th December. If you’d like to find out more about Home-Start Winchester then you can do so here.
