Headmaster’s Notes: A real privilege to come together as a community

15th November 19

It was great to see so many of you at the Bonfire and Fireworks evening last weekend and a real privilege to come together as a community. Thank you to all those who worked so hard together, ensuring that the event ran so smoothly, especially to the PMA and our Estates team.

Returning this week, the children have been enthusiastically challenging themselves both in and out of the classroom, and have excelled in all areas. It was a great honour to meet together as a School to mark Armistice Day on Monday morning to remember, and be thankful for, all the soldiers and their families who gave their lives for others, including so many of those from the Itchen Valley who were honoured at a service at St John’s on Sunday before Prince’s Mead hosted the Royal British Legion afterwards.

Particular congratulations to our U10A Footballers this week, proud winners of the PGS Football Tournament. Another busy and exciting week follows next week. Before that point, the weekend awaits, which I know will be very welcome to all.
