Prince’s Mead Pupil is Named Latin Ballroom Champion 2023

Seven-year-old Anastasia, a talented pupil at Prince’s Mead, was declared the British National Juvenile Latin Champion in her age category at the ISTD Grand Finals UK National Teacher/Student Dance Championship on Saturday 4th November 2023.

Anastasia had to work hard to stand out in what was a highly competitive Latin Competition, featuring 37 finalists from regional heats which took place across the UK earlier this year. Performing at the famous Winter Gardens in Blackpool, she showcased her exceptional skill for Latin in front of a panel of highly esteemed Judges who scored the CHA-CHA-CHA to award an overall winner.

This is an exceptional achievement and reflects her dedication and passion for Latin & Ballroom dance. Under the expert guidance of her dance instructor Sergiy Bondarenko, Anastasia trains 4 times a week and has been competing since she was 6.

As well as being crowned Latin Champion, she also came 3rd in the Juvenile Ballroom (WALTZ) Championship taking place on the same day.
