Year 6 visited Winchester’s Military Museums for a First World War-Remembrance work-shop. The trip built on the children’s in-class studies of the First World War and proved to be most stimulating and thought-provoking. It involved a variety of hands-on workshops that helped the children understand why remembrance is important, both for the military and for the public, particularly poignant in this centenary year.
